Hettich has revealed that its AvanTech YOU drawer system, with its new design elements featuring integrated lighting, has earned it the 2021 Interzum Award in the 'High Product Quality' category for outstanding design merit.
The AvanTech YOU's slimline drawer side profile measures 13mm, and has an integrated front-panel adjustment function, permitting design flexibility. The integrated lighting can be clipped into place, while a designer profile illuminates the interior of open drawers in even LED light at 4,000K, or can make an eye-catching feature on the outside. Glass inlays with polished or ground edges create lighting effects, with a rechargeable battery pack providing the necessary energy.
The company said it believes that the system's popularity is being fuelled by the growing megatrend of individualisation, which is reinforcing customer demand for customised design flexibility in kitchen and home furnishings. The product will be available in the UK later this year.
