Whirlpool UK Appliances, parent company of the Hotpoint, Indesit, Whirlpool and KitchenAid brands, has appointed Paul Davis as contract channel manager.
Paul brings 35 years of experience in the appliance industry to his new role, having started out as a sales representative for a distributor, before joining Merloni (the previous owner of the Indesit brand) and progressing through the ranks to national sales manager. Following this, Paul became MD of Contract Appliances Ltd, working closely with housebuilders as a distributor. Paul joined Whirlpool UK nine years ago and his previous role within the business was working with independent retailers.
Paul said: “The contract channel is such an important area of an appliance manufacturer’s business and I am pleased to be working closely with housebuilders once again. My previous experience means I have worked on both sides of the fence, so I understand housebuilders' needs and requirements. Having worked in the appliance industry for 35 years, I hope to ensure Whirlpool UK’s brands are specified in a growing number of new build homes and I look forward to making the most of my new role.”
