LochAnna Kitchens has taken the decision to invest in a new trade showroom near its Bolton headquarters, instead of attendance at trade fairs. The company said that this decision has not been taken lightly as KBB Birmingham 2020 was a positive experience for them, however when faced with the choice between attending KBB Birmingham 2022 or investing in something more bespoke, they chose the latter.
“We’ve always wanted somewhere to meet customers, to show off our products and to provide training,” said Sinead Trainor, kitchen category manager, pictured. “KBB 2020 was a game-changer for us, but we want a facility that gives us what KBB did, every day of the year. We feel like our new trade showroom will capture that magic and be another step change for LochAnna. Delivering our other ongoing projects must take priority so, as much as we would like to be involved with KBB 2022, we have had to accept that we’re not superhuman!”
The new two-storey showroom, which is planned to open this autumn, will feature more than 15 kitchen ranges from the LochAnna, FORM true handleless and Evo trade collections, as well as a working kitchen for cookery demonstrations with branded partners such as Neff, CDA and Quooker. There will also be a conferencing area with state-of-the-art media facilities.
In spite of the challenges presented by the pandemic, the company revealed that it has experienced growth. Turnover during the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period last year is up over 30%, and the second quarter is projected to grow by more than 40% on Q1.
