Kitchen retailer Qudaus Living invests in young talent

Sutton Coldfield-based kitchen retailer Qudaus Living has announced that it is investing in future talent by supporting the training of two young people in the showroom. The family business has appointed a new intern, and is also celebrating the success of their apprentice, who will start the Buckinghamshire New University Foundation course in Kitchen Design this September.

Sophie Owen joined Qudaus Living almost two years ago with no experience of working in a design or sales environment. Sophie has now successfully completed a level 3 qualification in business administration, and with the addition of in-house training, has gained a place on the university course to further her career in design.

Tyler McKenzie has begun an internship role, spending two days a week in the showroom and three days at college.

Business owner Belinda Dangerfield said: “We are so proud of what Sophie has achieved, especially the way she applied herself to her training through lockdown.

“We are delighted to offer these two young people the opportunity to further their careers in the KBB industry. They have both shown tremendous positivity and a passion to learn, and we all benefit from the new ideas and fresh approach they bring to our business.”
