Bushboard's latest launch – its Zenith compact laminate worktops – have been featured in the latest instalment of BBC2's interiors show, Your Home Made Perfect.
Broadcast on 13th October, the episode follows a pair of Hertfordshire homeowners as they work with the ambitious and transformative architecture of Robert Jameson to create an extension to their 1950s semi-detached home. The finished result showcases a spacious kitchen diner, which incorporates charcoal grey internal blocks and open pine ceiling joists. Zenith worktops in the Caldeira 'worn cement' design – one of 20 décors in the brand-new compact laminate range – were specified throughout the space across worktop, breakfast bar and upstand in the industrial-inspired scheme.
Sian Astley, project manager for the show, said: "We looked at many, many samples of different worktops and the Zenith was the clear winner! It ticked every box both design wise and practically. I particularly like the textured surface and feel of the Caldeira Zenith and the way the very natural feeling surface contrasts with the ultra-modern 12.5mm thickness of the slabs."
Bushboard's Zenith range is available from this month. Comprising a 12.5mm profile and a coloured core, the surfaces are said to be completely waterproof and can mimic the nuances of marble, stone and concrete surfaces.
