Grohe has been named the winner of the Best Kitchen Tap at the prestigious Ideal Home Kitchen Awards 2022.
The leading global bathroom and kitchen manufacturer's Grohe Blue Home WaterSystem beat the competition to be selected as the winner of the Best Kitchen Tap available to consumers in 2022. Wödar's Instant Hot Water Tap was highly commended in the category.
The Grohe Blue filtered water system has been specifically created to support a more sustainable lifestyle, helping to cut the need for single-use plastic water bottles by providing perfectly filtered water in the home.
The judging panel of the Ideal Home Kitchen Awards noted that the Grohe tap also made reaching recommended daily water intake targets that bit easier. They observed: "We’re all about getting our recommended six-to-eight glasses of water a day. And the Blue Home filtered water kitchen tap from Grohe will make it easier to achieve, as well as cutting down on single-use plastic water bottles".
The team at Ideal Home also liked that the smart tap gives consumers the option to choose their favourite type of water, noting: "Still, medium or sparkling from the same tap = genius! You can also activate it from your phone which is brilliant for busy, hardworking kitchens".
Speaking about the win, Ebru Bircan, leader, marketing activation UK, LIXIL EMENA, Grohe UK, said: "The UK has access to some of the best quality drinking water in the world, but hard water regions can carry a lot of limescale that affects the taste. This, coupled with consumer concerns and media reporting around micro-plastics, has led to many turning to non-sustainable alternatives such as single-use plastic bottled water from the supermarket".
