KBBG declares eighth Annual Members’ Meeting a success

The Kitchen Bathroom Buying Group (KBBG), part of European kitchen and bathroom buying group Der Kreis, has hailed its eighth Annual Members’ Meeting as a success. The event was sponsored by appliance manufacturer, De Dietrich, and took place at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry. The theme for this year’s conference was ‘How is technology changing the business landscape, and what it means for you?’

KBBG MD Bill Miller, pictured, opened the meeting by announcing that Der Kreis has grown substantially across Europe despite the challenging past few years. Bill then handed the stage to Vanessa Brady OBE, Founder of Society of British and International Design, who gave an informative look into how kitchen specialists and architects can work together. Guests also heard from the event sponsor Michael Boland, De Dietrich, for an overview of the brand’s history and product line-up, which is available to KBBG members, and Steve Nesbitt, chief technologist of the MTC, on Net Zero 2050 and the future of construction.

Guests were given the opportunity to attend workshop sessions of their choice in the afternoon – ‘KBB Services’ by Simon Acres, ‘Lead Wolf – KBB Digital Marketing Platform’ by Graeme Wilson, ‘Putting the Client First and Foremost’ by Darren Taylor and ‘What Part KBB Retailers Will Need to Play in Modular Construction’ by Steve Nesbitt.

Bill Miller said: “Following the success of last year’s meeting, we wanted to exceed the expectations of our members once again with a variety of engaging speakers and workshops along with another exceptional venue. We hope that our guests found the event to be insightful as well as resourceful and were able to benefit from the networking opportunities and on-the-day offers and promotions from suppliers. We thank our event sponsor and the staff at the MTC for such a memorable day and we look forward to next year’s meeting.”
