Franke launches Mythos Appliance Family into UK market

Franke has announced the launch of its Mythos Appliance Family into the UK appliance market.

The range comprises ovens, hobs and hoods, with the collection focused at the mid-upper end of the UK market. It will be available ex-stock from distribution partners Swift, Waterline, Sinks & Things, Forth & Clyde, and Bodel.

The premium new range from Franke combines "market-leading performance with a minimalist design, elegant proportions and new finishes". Offering customers a complete appliance solution for their cookspaces, the pieces on offer focus on intelligence and cooking assistance.

The Mythos Family includes:

  • Three x 60cm ovens, in steam and pyrolytic options
  • A compact combi oven
  • A warming drawer
  • Two x induction hobs
  • Five x hoods

In recognition of both their smart design and technical prowess, the ovens in the Mythos Family were the recipients of the prestigious Red Dot Award in 2021. Available in two colour options (all black with metal strips or stainless steel and black glass), they feature TFT touch screen or push-pull knob operation, an impressive 73 litre capacity, up to 19 cooking functions (plus Cook Assist mode) and an A+ energy rating, among other stand-out credentials.

Speaking about Mythos Family, Jo Sargent, sales and marketing director at Franke, acknowledged that ongoing supply issues in the UK are "hampering retailers' ability to plan and complete projects".

"We can provide solutions to these problems with a high quality, focussed range of products," she explains. "We already have induction hob extractors and hoods available in the UK, with several new models recently launched for 2022. But we also have the capability to supply ovens and so we have created this integrated offer for the UK market".

Sargent continues: "The Mythos Appliance Family has been created to offer retailers a focused range that is easy to sell to customers and keeps their business rolling. Of course, we see an opportunity to plug a gap in the market which current brands are at times struggling to meet but we are committed to ensuring ongoing product supply, customer support and after-sales service."
