Neptune, the British premium home lifestyle and interiors brand, has reported a doubling of profit for the financial year 2024/25 following the successful implementation of its new strategy under new leadership. Appointed in August 2024, CEO Mike Clark, pictured, joined the brand creating a new leadership team alongside chairman Will Kernan and CFO Will Coulten who joined in August 2023 and September 2023 respectively. In July 2025 Steve Morris joined as chief retail & people officer, providing significant capability in terms of retail and channel growth.

The new team has led a clear strategic reset focused on design and product excellence, customer experience, and operational discipline. The results speak for themselves: pre-tax profits have doubled to £6.1m to return PBT £2.1M back to historic levels, supported by consistent cash generation and an improving balance sheet. Despite operating in a complex environment Neptune has demonstrated both resilience and strong commercial momentum.

“These results reflect Neptune’s strength as a premium brand and the opportunity we have for the future” said Will Kernan, chairman. “We have re-established a foundation for sustainable growth built on quality, integrity, and an obsession with the customer. Our strategy is working; our new management team led by Mike Clark, has really delivered on the first phase of our long-term strategy and the business is well positioned for growth.”

The strategic reset has seen Neptune’s proposition of product excellence and enduring value remain at the core. Rooted in timeless design, durability, and craftsmanship, the company’s lifetime guarantee underlines its confidence in long-term product performance and supports its unwavering commitment and 100-year brand vision: beautiful furniture made to last for 100 years and beyond. Neptune proudly designs the full product range in-house at their Wiltshire headquarters and maintains full control and ownership of both factories and distribution. The business also further advanced its sustainability agenda through the Neptune ReNewed programme, a circular initiative giving existing Neptune pieces a second life.

New stores, channel expansion and partnerships are key to the long-term strategy. Neptune plans to invest in more stores with 3 already planned for 2026, targeting key regional cities and market towns and bringing the brands unique approach to in-store experience and service to more customers. Reflecting strong brand demand, Neptune expanded its presence through a new partnership with John Lewis, initially launching accessories and extending into furniture in select stores from late Spring 2026.

Investments in customer experience include choosing to enhance in-house capability rather than outsourcing delivery operations – this customer-first approach achieved significant and measurable results, including an industry-leading Trustpilot score of 4.7, this level of trust leading to growth in the sale of large-ticket items.

Mike Clark, CEO, said: “We have built a business that combines enduring design with operational excellence. As we look to the next phase, we will continue investing in our people, our product, and our customer experience – ensuring Neptune continues to be positioned for sustained, profitable growth.”
