KBSA responds to news non-essential shops are to reopen in England



The KBSA has welcomed the announcement from the Government, dated 23rd November, that ‘non-essential shops’ will be able to re-open on 3rd December, when the current lockdown restrictions come to an on 2nd December.

“Our members will be pleased that they can re-open their showrooms once again," said KBSA national chair Richard Hibbert, pictured. "We will continue to support them moving forward, as we have done to date when dealing with uncertainties and changing legislation. This announcement relates to England, and new tiers will be announced later this week. Our members in Scotland and Wales are operating under different rules at the moment. 

“We remain committed to ensuring a level playing field and working together with others in the interest of all independent retailers. We hope that 2021 will prove to be a better year for all retailers, with the news that several vaccines will be ready for roll out within the coming months.”
