Finalists announced for SBID Awards 2020

The Society of British and International Interior Design (SBID) has revealed the finalist shortlist across its International Design Awards and the newly launched SBID Prodcut Design Awards. The organisation says that this year's edition has been the most globally represented to date, having received entries from the commericial and residential design sectors in 49 different countries.

Finalists for interior design include Rockwell Group, Hill House Interiors and Rigby & Rigby, while in product design the shortlist features products from brands such as Zaha Hadid and Smeg UK.

Founder and CEO of SBID, Vanessa Brady OBE, said: “Business has been disrupted for many during the pandemic, but I’m pleased to confirm that the interior design practice has remained relatively steady. The SBID Awards received submissions from more countries this year than in any other year, demonstrating the strength of SBID and the industry as a whole. We are thrilled to be the award that designers across the profession want to win and for that, we are particularly proud and honoured, as an interior design body for trading standards, to continue showcasing the world’s best interiors and product designs during these difficult days.”

The final phase of the judging process now involves a public vote – with previous years having seen around 225,000 unique voters – which will close on 30th September at 5pm. The winning entry in each category will be announced on 23rd October.
