Porteus Pods is launching its prefabricated bathroom pods to the UK market, in a move that it says offers an all-inclusive modular solution for developers, architects and homeowners to create functional and highly customisable bathrooms and shower rooms 'quickly and effortlessly'.
In addition, it has recently appointed Nick Smallwood as business development manager to oversee the expansion into the UK and establish a core client base for bathroom pod creations.
Porteus believes it offers a solution for projects requiring a significant number of bathrooms. The team has a background in the construction industry and delivers bathroom pods to clients across residential, hospitality, student and care sectors. Recent UK client wins have included Strawberry Star, The HUB and Grainger PLC.
Founded and run in Ireland by an engineering-led design team, Porteus Pods are manufactured off-site, reducing carbon emissions in comparison to traditional construction methods. The streamlined construction process minimises on-site disruptions, helping to maintain and where possible aid the acceleration of a project programme – the contemporary pods can be installed in just one day, eliminating costly and inconvenient delays.
