Laufen to preview new products and 'human-centric designs' at HIX 2023

Bathroom manufacturer Laufen has revealed its plans to explore ‘A new era of connectivity’ on its stand at HIX 2023, Europe’s leading hotel design exhibition.

Throughout the two-day event, which takes place at London’s Business Design Centre from 16th – 17th November, Laufen plans to highlight ‘emotionally intelligent, human-centric bathroom designs that will enrich the user experience for any hotel guest’.

It will be using its stand to showcase products from its new MEDA collection, created by Swiss designer Peter Wirz, for the first time in the UK before their official launch in the first quarter of 2024. Show visitors will also get a chance to see a prototype of its new shower system, which has been designed in collaboration with Andreas Dimitriadis of Platinum Design. The shower system aims to offer the ultimate spa experience to hotel guests thanks to a 12-inch touchscreen display, which is integrated into the shower. Guests can use the touchscreen to select their preferred temperature, pressure and flow of water, as well as choice of shower head. The screen sits within a horizontal wall panel containing a display of tile lights and an illuminated storage niche.

Another new product set to be unveiled at the show is a redesigned version of the Val bath, pictured, which features chromotherapy.
