Distibutors of high-quality bathoom products Brausch & Co and its sister company DHL Bathroom Supplies, have announced they have now ceased trading. A message on the company website says: 'To all our friends, customers and colleagues may we thank you all for your support over the years'.
The company, which was founded in 1985, was a distributor of Villeroy & Boch, Keuco and Toto products throughout the South of England, Wales, the Midlands and parts of the North West.
In its latest financial report for 2022 the company disclosed that profits before tax had fallen by more than 45%. In the report, the directors described the UK market as 'challenging' due to 'the current economic and political uncertainties', and also cited the high rate of inflation and the downturn in the UK housing market as contributing factors. However, they noted that they had 'implemented a number of strategies to overcome the difficult market conditions'.
James Sketch, countrywide manager for Keuco, said: "We are deeply saddened by the news that Brausch & Co, a business with which we have enjoyed many years of trusted co-operation, has ceased trading. The whole Brausch team were always extremely helpful and efficient when working with us distributing KEUCO in the UK and we are very sorry that this business decision had to be made.
He added: "For KEUCO customers affected by this please contact us as we are currently working with our other distributors to ensure the continued smooth running of orders for all projects.
