Bathroom Mountain appoints Panther Logistics as delivery partner

Online bathroom retailer Bathroom Mountain has entered into a 3-year contract with 2-person delivery specialist Panther Logistics. The contract commenced on the 29th April following a successful 3-month trial.

The move to change its delivery model from being pallet-based to 2-person delivery necessitated a change of process in Bathroom Mountain’s Stoke on Trent-based 95,000 sq ft warehouse, however, the company says the partnership has already optimised its operations and generated efficiencies in terms of creating greater resource, reducing packaging, reduced damages and crucially an overall improvement in service. Productivity has also increased with orders being able to be processed more quickly.

Bathroom Mountain co-founder and director Shamila Iqbal said: “As a business we are incredibly ambitious, however our focus has always been on our customers which are the very core of the business. From a delivery perspective the bathroom sector is challenging with multiple SKU’s forming part of each order.  Panther’s involvement has taken our service offering to the next level ensuring our customers receive their orders on a day and room of their choice.

“The move to 2-person delivery is a game changer for our business as well as our customers and is already paying significant dividends which is great.  Also dealing with the Panther team is like a breath of fresh air. They are flexible in their approach, highly communicative and have gone above and beyond since day one to ensure that our customers receive the best final mile delivery experience in the industry.”

Samuel Scott, Panther’s sales director, added: “Working in partnership with our customers is part of our DNA.Bathroom Mountain is an incredibly exciting business and we are confident that by moving to a two-person delivery model they will be able to further scale up their operations."
