Roman celebrates a decade of success in Asia Pacific

Newton Aycliffe-based shower manufacturer Roman is celebrating a decade of its sales and marketing subsidiary in South East Asia, Roman Asia, and its longstanding relationship with the hotel sector across the Pacific region. Over the last decade, Roman has seen significant expansion across the continent, participating in numerous prestigious projects and developments. Roman's team in Asia works closely with local partners, having developed strong networks in Malaysia, Sri Lanka and The Maldives, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, New Zealand and Australia.

Roman has also cultivated relationships with architects and developers in Malaysia, further establishing its presence in the region. The company says its participation in the Archidex Show 3 times underscores its active engagement with the design and construction community in Asia. This visibility has helped Roman secure prestigious projects, as international brands with a reputation for reliability are increasingly in demand. Roman has a unique capability in large bespoke projects as it offers a ‘one-stop shop’ for anti-slip shower trays; Shower Enclosures or Wetroom systems in an array of metal finishes; as well as fabricated vanity tops; and integrated wooden furniture.

Some of Roman Asia’s most notable projects include Hotel Indigo in Kuala Lumpur, shown here. The upcoming pipeline of projects includes manufacturing shower enclosures for the prestigious Millen Hotel in Penang.

Roman CEO David Osborne said: “We are proud of our achievements in Asia Pacific. We always say that ‘capability travels’ and that is clearly the case here. British Brands are very well received in Asia and the CPTPP trade deal will further help exports from December. Made in Britain and exported all over the World is a great message and we now have an amazing project pipeline."
