Roca Group UK has welcomed two new members of staff to its team. Rob Slimming (pictured left) joins as regional sales manager for the North while Barry Gladwish is the new residential specification manager.
Rob's main responsibilities will be managing the northern sales team as well as working with the region’s key partners to promote the Roca and Laufen brands. Rob previously worked at Bristan Group in a number of roles, from key account manager to national account manager, looking after buying groups, and then finally as a regional sales manager.
Jamie Welch, Roca Group UK’s sales director UK & Ireland, said: “With Rob at the helm, our northern region is in a very safe pair of hands. He brings so much experience, passion for the industry and knowledge to the job, he’ll be a real asset to our team. I couldn’t be more delighted to welcome Rob to the Roca Group.”
In his new role, Barry (pictured right) will look to grow relationships and manage specifications with existing regional developers and the regional offices of national house builders. He has also been tasked with winning incremental specifications for the Roca and Laufen ranges with regional developers.
Barry has 13 years’ experience working within builders merchants and has previously worked for Akzonobel in a national specification role.
Liam Buxton, new build director at Roca Group UK, said: “Barry is joining us at a key time, when we’re starting tofeel a sense of optimism in the housing market. We need to be able to support and build our relationships with the industry and someone of Barry’s experience will be a huge asset to Roca Group in achieving this. I’m looking forward to working closely with him.”
