InstallerSHOW's Andy Bishop looks ahead to 2025's event

InstallerSHOW grew its bathroom content in 2024 and added kitchens to the mix to create Installer Kitchens & Bathrooms – Andy Bishop looks ahead to next year's exhibition, taking place at the NEC, Birmingham, from 24th - 26th June 2025.

InstallerSHOW 2024, held in June at the NEC, Birmingham, was bigger and better than ever before, with more than 600 exhibitors and over 20,000 professional trade visitors. The event grew by 56% in 2024 with 43% of visitors saying they had visited no other trade show in the last 2 years, making it a truly unique platform to connect with a new audience.

After its official launch in 2023, the bathrooms element of the event grew substantially this year and along with the addition of kitchens, formed the all-new Installer Kitchens & Bathrooms area in Hall 4 of the NEC. Installer Kitchens & Bathrooms is backed and supported by several industry associations including BiKBBI, the BMA, NKBA (Organisers of KBIS, Las Vegas) and the KBSA.

Research from several trade associations and independent research specialists have highlighted the growing influence of installers when homeowners are making design and sourcing decisions for their new kitchen and bathroom projects. Also, large KBB retailers have recently increased their efforts to work directly with the installations sector, making the InstallerSHOW and its new Kitchen & Bathroom focus a must attend event for all KBB professionals.

Installer Kitchens & Bathrooms offered an exciting and varied mix of exhibitors along with dedicated educational talks theatres. The BMA hosted their own ‘The Future of Water’ theatre with a full programme of talks, discussions and presentations with topics ranging from bathroom design and trends with renowned TV designer Linda Barker, to technology and digital marketing. Highly popular sessions were the lively BMA Pitchfests where manufactures promoted their products to a live audience.

BMA CEO Tom Reynolds commented: "BMA and our members have been involved in InstallerSHOW for over half a decade, and in that time, we’ve seen it become a critical annual event for the bathroom sector. It’s the place for manufacturers to come together with the people fitting their products, probably their most important stakeholder after the end user."

The Kitchen of the Future stage was built using prominent kitchen designer Johnny Grey’s 4Gen kitchen and hosted a full programme of educational sessions from many key names of the kitchen world including Howdens, Magnet, Rehome, Samsung and Blum. Other sessions from Unhooked communications, KBB Marketing/Zebra Square presented exclusive industry research for retailers, manufacturers and installers. Real life installer stories came from Mark Conacher, formerly of Liberty Fitting, Dundee and Mark Millar of Channels 5’s Dream Kitchens & Bathrooms.

Johnny Grey commented: "The InstallerSHOW provided an amazing forum for kitchen installers who play such a key role in the creation of a kitchen, both in terms of woodworking skills and bringing in specialist products that customers would not have found. I was so happy to see my multi-generational kitchen used as a stage for such a diverse range of talks and host for lively discussions, as well contributing a few sessions myself. I also met good friends I had not seen for a while and made new ones. It was a real forum for kitchen aficionados which we can build on in future years."
