Paul Tyler to step down as CEO of CIH after three years at the helm

Combined Independents (Holdings) Ltd (CIH), part of Euronics, Europe’s largest electrical buying organisation, has announced that CEO, Paul Tyler will be stepping down from the position from the 4th April 2025.

Tyler joined CIH in January 2022 as CEO and has worked tirelessly for the last 3 years to deliver support to its members. Following a long and successful career with BSH, Miele, and 10 years working as an independent electrical retailer, Tyler’s industry knowledge and passion for independent retailers has always been what has driven his career and has been witnessed in his role as CEO of CIH.

Commenting on the announcement, CIH chairman, Steve Scogings, said: “In only 3 years, Paul has made a significant difference to the business and has instilled a fantastic team ethic within the staff of CIH. He has overseen a revolution in our website and marketplace offering, created a new team dedicated to supporting members and introduced exciting new partnerships with Fair For You and Trust Power. His understanding and support in what we do as members has allowed us to achieve industry recognition with Which? and Feefo. Paul has always been a total professional in his extensive career and will continue to support CIH until April next year to complete current projects.”

During Tyler’s tenure, CIH has worked with the team to create a distinctive Euronics brand voice. CIH says the Euronics Way is characterised by clarity, authenticity, and customer-centric values. The business is dedicated to serving local communities, building a deeper connection with customers and fostering trust and loyalty. New product categories have been added to the portfolio and the CIH Showcase event has continued to grow.

“CIH is in a great place, and much of that is because of the vision, hard work and commitment that Paul has shown to the business,” continued Scogings. “Euronics continues to lead the way in delivering exceptional services and advocacy and, under Paul’s leadership, we are delivering unparalleled value to CIH members. We wish him all the best for the future.”
