Italian design company Salvatori has opened the doors to its revamped London showroom following a makeover in collaboration with architect Piero Lissoni.
The flagship store, located in a listed building in Wigmore Street, is one of three showrooms that are 100% owned by Salvatori, with the others based in Milan and New York.
Salvatori says the new layout was designed in collaboration with Lissoni to reflect its Italian flair and combine technological innovation and high-quality craftsmanship. Spanning 200sq m, the two-storey showroom features the brand's exclusive textures, furniture and accessories, with a focus on its customisable bathroom collections.
Measuring 50sq m, the ground floor has undergone a complete architectural transformation and now features a wall clad in iconic Italian Bianco Carrara marble in the popular Tratti finish. Also on show for the first time in London is The Small Hours, Patricia Urquiola's first bathroom collection for Salvatori, which was presented at Milan Design Week 2024. Designed to capture the atmosphere of dawn, each piece aims to make the bathroom a place of intimate retreat and reflection in those precious moments before the world awakens.
Lissoni, whose Hito collection is also on display, said: “The Salvatori showroom is already a classic destination in London so the redesign is about reflecting its position as a market leader. The reimage maintains its subtle and - paradoxically - Italian understatement that adapts to English style while preserving the strength, power and beauty of its creations."
