Hot water tap brand Wödår has announced its sponsorship of Leeds United defender and Austrian national, Max Wöber, who joined the West Yorkshire club in January 2023.
Wödår, which was already a strategic partner of Leeds United, says the the collaboration ‘celebrates Wödår’s Leeds roots’ and its ‘dedication to supporting the community and local talent’.
Like the football player, whose surname features an umlaut, Wödår’s branding also includes the two dots diacritical mark, which the tap brand says reflects its ‘commitment to standing out'.
Michael Sammon, lifelong Leeds United supporter and managing director at Wödår, said: “We couldn’t help but notice the connection – the umlaut is a symbol of individuality and heritage, much like both our brand and Max himself. It’s a perfect match for our Leeds heritage and our partnership with my beloved Leeds United, going far beyond a meeting of names!”
