Gaggenau director Simon Richmond announces plans to retire

Gaggenau, the luxury brand for professional-grade home appliances, has announced that Simon Richmond, Gaggenau UK director, will be stepping down later this month to enjoy his retirement.

Simon joined Gaggenau in 2020 and has played a pivotal role in its recent success. During his 4 and a half years in the role, he has driven the continued development and growth of the brand as well as its portfolio of products.

Simon joined Gaggenau from Poggenpohl Group, where he was MD of UK operations since 2012. Prior to this, he was director of operations at Poggenpohl, a role he held from 2007 when he joined the Group after spending 14 years with Jewson.

Commenting on his retirement, Simon said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Gaggenau and am proud of the successes we have achieved as a team. I am sure the brand will continue to go from strength to strength in the coming years and I wish them every success.”

Gunjan Srivastava, CEO, BSH UK & Ireland, said: “I would like to thank Simon for his hard work and dedication to the Gaggenau brand during his time with us. He has been instrumental in the recent growth we have enjoyed and has created a fantastic platform for us to build on. We wish him well in his retirement.”

A successor will be announced in due course.
