LochAnna Kitchens has added its new range of EcoStone Splashbacks to its kichen offering. Manufactured in Wales and available in a choice of 18 finishes across six styles, the splashbacks are made into a thin stone slab, and then decorated and finished with either a matt or gloss lacquer.
EcoStone is an engineered stone made from 93% clean quarry stone waste – a commercial by-product of crushing stone for use in building and infrastructure projects. During the manufacturing process, no heat is required for the product to naturally cold cure and this is what gives EcoStone its eco credentials. EcoStone not only upcycles stone waste, it also leaves virtually no carbon footprint in its manufacture. In 2012 EcoStone was recognised for its unique eco credentials by Europe Innova.
LochAnna founder and MD Paul Jenkinson said: “At LochAnna we are always looking for sustainable materials and we are dedicated to providing eco-friendly solutions for our customers’ kitchens. Many people believe that you have to compromise on style in order to design a 'green' kitchen but that’s not necessarily the case. With 18 beautiful finishes, EcoStone Splashbacks create a bespoke feel in your kitchen and are a beautiful and unique alternative to stainless steel splashbacks.”
