Quooker MD hits 1 million steps in soaring temperatures

Stephen Johnson, MD of Quooker UK & Ireland, has just hit 1 million steps in Paris, walking in 35-degree heat at an incredibly fast pace. 

Johnson is walking 64km every day for 31 consecutive days – with no rest days – in memory of his late father and mother, and in support of 2 charities – Grief Encounter, which helps children and young people navigate bereavement, and The Friendship Circle, supporting children and adults with disabilities and their families.

“This walk is my way of honouring the past, supporting the present, and building hope for the future,” said Johnson. “Every step is for the children and families who need to know they’re not alone.”

Quooker says its UK showroom network is rallying behind Johnson with charity raffles offering chances to win full Quooker systems, local fundraising walks, and branded POS and digital content to drive awareness.

So far, Johnson has raised £41,335, with donations climbing daily. Last year, he raised over £60,000 walking 1,500km.
