C.P. Hart welcomes Richard Baylis as its new managing director

Luxury bathroom specialist C.P. Hart has announced the appointment of Richard Baylis as its new MD, effective 1st September 2026. Richard succeeds Dean Weston, who has been promoted by C.P. Hart’s parent company, Wolseley Group, to lead its nationwide Plumb Centre network of 450 branches. 

Richard joins C.P. Hart with more than 20 years’ experience leading and growing businesses across the home interest sector. From managing O2’s 480-store UK retail network to driving growth in senior roles at Wickes, Homebase and Bathrooms by Design, he has consistently delivered strong commercial results. Most recently, he was country manager at Vauth-Sagel, the German kitchen fittings specialist. 

Richard takes the helm at an exciting time for C.P. Hart as the heritage brand prepares to celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2027. With 16 showrooms across London, the South East and Cheshire, including its 20,000sq ft flagship in Waterloo, the business is continuing its expansion into prime residential locations.

Recent investments include the opening of its Hatch End showroom, a major refurbishment and expansion of its Guildford showroom, and the relocation of its Chiswick showroom to larger premises, due to open in Autumn 2026. 

Working closely with architects, interior designers and private clients, C.P. Hart combines world-class supplier partnerships with its own product innovation to create exclusive luxury bathroom collections. Its in-house designed Slide Brassware Collection, launched earlier this year, was recognised with an award at the inaugural Clerkenwell Design Week Awards 2026.
