InSinkErator takes on Plastic Free July challenge

As part of its ongoing sustainability commitments, InSinkErator is supporting Plastic Free July with a number of different activities including hosting giveaways, sharing tips on how to make positive lifestyle changes, and staff members taking on the Plastic Free July challenge.

Plastic Free July is a global initiative that aims to reduce the environmental impact that single-use plastic waste has on land and in the oceans. Plastic Free July provides tips on how to make changes at home, the workplace and in the communities in which we live in.

As well as refusing any form of single-use plastic, InSinkErator is arranging giveaways for consumers to win a 4N1 Touch tap, reusable insulated drinks bottles and ethically-produced, reusable, cotton shopping bags.

Anne Kaarlela, marketing communications and customer service manager, Europe and Russia, for InSinkErator, said: “Sustainability and protecting the future of our planet are core values for us at InSinkErator. Plastic Free July is a great initiative, and we pledge our support to taking on the challenge, as well as increasing awareness of the project to encourage more people to make conscious choices to reduce their plastic waste and protect the world we live in. Even the small and easy to implement changes can have an impact and make a real difference in the future.

“We’ve provided InSinkErator staff members with a reusable shopper as well as giving away bags to consumers to support their efforts in Plastic Free July too. At InSinkErator, we will continue to educate consumers on the sustainable alternatives to plastic, while offering stylish appliances for modern living and busy lifestyles that offer resource savings and benefit the wider environment.”
