KBB and merchant service provider Simon Acres Group, (SAGL) has announced that it is supporting MD of TT Training Academy and founder of the Courageous Kids Awards, Suzanne Skeete with the launch of an appeal to provide mental health services for children and adults. SAGL has pledged £5,000 to kick-start the appeal and is calling on other companies to add their support to raise funds to maintain a 24-hour helpline, along with other essential services.
Skeete said: “The helpline will be targeted towards children, with dedicated counsellors offering the support they need. It can also be accessed by adults. If adults are more aware of their own mental health, then our children have a better opportunity to get the life they deserve.
“The pandemic has brought new challenges for many children who urgently need help. We are looking for at least 10 more companies to join SAGL and make a donation.
“Companies that come on board as supporters will be offered wellness checkings and discounted wellness reviews for employees, as well as the opportunity to take part in the next Courageous Kids Award.”
Simon Acres Group MD Simon Acres, pictured with Skeete, said: “We are delighted to be working with Suzanne, helping to raise awareness of mental health and wellness in our industry.
“To further support this appeal we will be releasing a series of KBB specific advice films later this month. I hope that many other companies will join us in supporting Suzanne and take this opportunity to create something good in these difficult times.”
