Kitchen buying group MHK-UK has announced a new partnership with Mereway, which will be supplying MHK-UK’s retail partner network with product from its standalone brands Trend and Aura. Trend will offer MHK-UK’s retailers kitchen, bedroom and home-office furniture, while the recently launched Aura brand will offer the retailers a cost-effective component and kitchen solution.
Paul Wheeler, MHK-UK’s national sales director, said: “We are proud to be working with such a long established and highly regarded UK manufacturer; the relationship is very much in line with our senior board member Olaf Hoppelshauser’s wishes for us to only work with the very best UK furniture manufacturers to ensure the integrity and credibility of the MHK-UK brand. The Trend and Aura brands offer that perfect blend of quality, value for money and design flexibility.
"We are aware that our retail partners are being asked to become involved in other areas of the home, so being able to offer bedroom and home office furniture, from Mereway, addresses the demands of our partner network – many of whom are well versed in cross-selling and are now better equipped to answer the increased consumer demand for fitted bedroom furniture and of course – fitted home office furniture, with ever increasing numbers of us now working from home.”
Mereway MD Mark Mills added: “We are delighted to be working with MHK-UK. I believe the alliance will further increase the appeal of MHK-UK to independent retailers with home-grown products that answer a wide variety of consumer needs whilst helping us to increase awareness and sales of both our Trend and recently introduced Aura brand.”
