The Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) has announced that the global manufacturer of plumbing products and now brassware, McAlpine & Co Ltd, has officially joined as a member.
McAlpine, a UK-based privately owned manufacturer since 1907, produces over 5,000 plumbing products for the nation’s toilets, baths, showers and drainpipes. In 1957, it was the first company to move from lead plumbing to plastic plumbing products and exports specifically designed products to over 80 countries worldwide from its Glasgow base. It is currently bringing another innovation into the market: a sustainable bathroom tap range with two patented fast-fit installation systems made entirely in Chrome3+.
Tom Reynolds, chief executive of the BMA, said: “It’s a pleasure to welcome McAlpine to the association. As a longstanding British manufacturer for over a century, their products help support our industry and will be well-known to installers nationwide and abroad. Their dedication to sustainable product innovations aligns perfectly with our priorities, and we look forward to collaborating with the team and their engagement with the BMA’s work.”
Ross McAlpine, pictured, who looks after UK sales & marketing, said: “McAlpine is excited to partner with the BMA, and the launch of our new brassware range was the perfect time to do so. We’re passionate about the plumbing, heating and bathroom industry and look forward to playing an active role in the organisation.”
