Quooker UK listed in Sunday Times Top 100 Best Places to Work in 2024

Boiling water tap brand Quooker has been listed in the top 100 Best Places to Work for a mid-size company by The Sunday Times. According to the Sunday Times, the companies that have made it into the top 100 are most successful at getting the youngest demographic of workers on board, with the average engagement score for those under 34 coming in at 81%. Offering employees a true sense of work purpose, creating healthy environments for learning and development and fostering a fruitful workplace culture, these companies are creating happier employees which is leading to lower staff turnover and higher productivity.

Quooker has been praised for putting its employees at the heart of the company’s decision-making by giving them greater autonomy. With an emphasis on maintaining a family-style culture, Quooker is dedicated to supporting employees in both professional and private lives. The team is given free lunches in its pet-friendly office, each colleague is provided with a uniform and days of leave are added for each year of service with healthy bonus structures in place.

As a company, Quooker has invested heavily in staff wellbeing over the past 5-years. Under the management of Stephen Johnson, the company places enormous emphasis on the importance of people in the company’s overall success. Commenting on the accolade, Johnson said: “We have worked tirelessly to create a company culture that puts the individual first. Whilst we value hard work and expect a lot from our staff, we make it a priority to nurture talent through training and development and are always quick to praise and celebrate achievements. My goal has always been to create an environment where people can bring their whole selves to work and as such, are seen, valued and empowered to grow in ability and confidence. We pour resources into training and staff wellbeing and understand that by investing in our people, they in turn will give back 100-fold.”
