Dornbracht has announced the appointment of Olaf Hoppe as its new general manager. The company says that following the successful launch of the transformation, Hoppe will consistently drive the new strategy forward.

Hoppe, 59, was most recently CEO at SieMatic, where he successfully steered the company through its transformation. Olaf Hoppe brings extensive expertise in both national and international contexts and, as an experienced business leader, will take over the lead at Dornbracht straight away.

Caroline Schmitt (CSMO) and Natalia Castellucci de Kolb (CFO) are leaving the company with immediate effect, and as CEO, Dornbracht says Olaf Hoppe will assume all management responsibilities until further notice.

Over the past 2 years, Dornbracht has been working to strengthen its luxury positioning and develop its brand profile with a focus on iconic design, distinctive water experiences, and bespoke solutions. At the same time, marketing and sales structures have been realigned to strengthen brand perception globally, capitalise on growth opportunities in international markets and improve market performance in the long term.

With a new strategy, the company says it is well-positioned for the future and boasts a strong brand, even in a  challenging global economic climate.

Last year, Dornbracht celebrated its 75th anniversary and key milestones over the last 3 years have been Dornbracht ReCrafted and Dornbracht Atelier. In addition to the successful refurbishment at the Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa, the new Coya range was unveiled during this year’s Milan Design Week, and the collaboration between Dornbracht and Jung was launched.

According to a press statement from Dornbracht: 'Olaf Hoppe brings impressive expertise in managing complex international organisations with several hundred employees. His professional career is characterised by sustained growth in turnover and profits, as well as successful restructuring programmes. His focus is on long-term growth, competitiveness and increasing the company’s value.'

It added: 'The Advisory Board and the shareholders are delighted with this appointment and wish Olaf Hoppe every success.'
