Wood-based panel manufacturer Egger was celebrated at international trade fair Interzum 2023's awards ceremony for three new PerfectSense introductions.
PerfectSense TM9 was recognised for its high product quality in the category Neo Ecology, which focuses on sustainability, business ethics and the demand from customers for this type of product.
Launched in the UK earlier this year, PerfectSense TM9 has a carbon negative chipboard core and is available in ten on-trend decors. Made using sawmill by products, recycled wood and round wood unsuitable for further processing, the innovative coreboard champions the efficient use of natural materials. State-of-the-art lacquering technology provides an exceptionally smooth, matt, velvety finish with anti-fingerprint technology that is in high demand by the furniture market.
The overall matt concept from Egger was said to have been well received, with its product innovation clearly standing out from the crowd. In addition to the Neo Ecology award, Egger was also recognised for a further two PerfectSense products that replicate a woodgrain finish in the Materials and Nature category.
The international wood-based panel manufacturer welcomed visitors from across the world to its 600sq m stand. Under the strapline 'Together we grow', it presented surface innovation, new products and upcoming decors to the furniture and interior design industry.
Focusing on the importance of the circular economy, it celebrated its efficient use of natural resources. In combination with SAIB, Egger’s new production plant in Italy, they also featured in the fair’s Boulevard of Sustainability. The stand clearly explained how Egger makes a significant contribution to sustainable production across the world by conserving the valuable resource of wood.
