The bathroom mirror is fast becoming the key focal point in a room, and now comes equipped with atmospheric dimmable lighting that has the ability to transform a space – Emma Hedges rounds up the latest products on the market.

1. The Savita back-lit LED round mirror from Bathrooms to Love by PJH features a touch sensor to switch the light on and off with ease and change the lighting temperature from cool to warm, and a demister pad that gently heats the mirror once switched on, allowing the surface to stay steam free. It's available in 500, 600 and 800mm options, and comes with a 2-year guarantee.

2. The RAK-Hestia illuminated mirror from RAK Ceramics has touch sensor controls, making it a stylish and practical addition to the bathroom. Ensuring that there is adequate task lighting right where it is needed for shaving and applying make-up, the mirror can also be used to create a relaxing ambience in the bathroom which is perfect for bathing in.

3. The Lomax Light Arch mirror from Origins Living draws inspiration from period architecture. The wide aluminium frame and the daylight white illumination within the glass provides maximum impact. It comes in 2 finishes – Black and Brushed Brass – and 2 sizes – 400 x 800mm and 500 x 1000mm. It’s part of the Lomax collection, which includes a round and capsule version.

4. The Mada mirror from Crosswater is inspired by the smooth, unique curvature found on a pebble. It features colour-changing technology so the user can adjust a space according to their mood and time of day. With a built-in heated demister to ensure the best view no matter how steamy the bathroom is, it comes in different size options and the ability to hang either portrait or landscape.

5. The winner of the Best Bathroom Product category at the KBBFocus Awards 2023, the Skylar Smart-Tech LED mirror from SycamoreLED.com lets users watch videos via Youtube or the Netflix app, browse social apps such as Facebook, Instagram & TikTok, and listen to music via apps through its built-in speakers. It also features a built-in health management tool to help users take control of their fitness with the built-in body monitoring assistant.
